Children Trained In Photographic Arts Exhibit Their Life Experience, Creativity and Dreams
The “My Dream” initiative gives 50 Angolan children and teenagers the opportunity to express themselves visually and emotionally through photography and video.
March 03, 2016 | Luanda, Angola: Pan-African communications consultancy, Djembe Communications, announced today the first exhibition of “Arts and Dreams” to share and promote the skills acquired by participating Angolan students under the “My Dream” project, which aims to train children in visual and emotional expression through photography and video.
The “Arts and Dreams” exhibit organized by ADPP, a development and solidarity NGO, will bring students, parents, teachers and community leaders together to promote the inspiring new skills acquired by each student, as well as to share their cultural imagination and dreams through artistic photographic production.

The “My Dream” initiative, which aims to reach 50 Angolan children ages 12-16, was successfully launched at the ADPP School in Luanda with the implementation of two workshops. The “Arts and Dreams” exhibition aims to reinforce this activity, providing the children with opportunities to improve their communication skills, share their life experiences, and express their dreams, which for many of them will be a unique and motivational educational experience.
Building on the success of these “My Dream” workshops, Djembe Communications will host an exhibition in Angola’s capital showcasing the student’s work to the general public. This exhibition will encourage involvement and support in vital social projects that contribute to the integral development of Angolan children, leading to their active participation in the country’s growth.
