Djembe Communications Acquires ‘The One Event’ in Ghana
- The strategic move will add new market, events, consumer and healthcare strength to Djembe’s overall offerings

Accra | Ghana: Djembe Communications, the pioneering pan-African communications consultancy, today announced the significant strengthening of its offering in West Africa as the firm acquires The One Event (TOE), a leading Ghanaian public relations and events management agency. Today marks the official launch of the expanded Djembe Communications office in Labone, Accra, Ghana.
Speaking at the official launch, Kevin Nolan, International Director, Djembe Communications, commented: “As the communications partner of choice for Africa, it was a logical step for Djembe to acquire The One Event. Djembe’s Managing Director, Mitchell Prather, and former Managing Director of TOE, Paschorina Tedjame-Mortty (now integrated into Djembe Communications as Country Manager for the UK), will also be supporting Djembe Ghana’s Country Manager, Toyin Dania at the new office opening.
Combining Djembe’s award winning international corporate communications and financial PR capabilities with TOE’s consumer healthcare PR and event expertise presents a strong offering to existing and potential clients in Ghana and the West African region. The expanded Ghanaian team looks forward to supporting new and existing clients with Djembe’s Country Manager, Toyin Dania, to deliver successful and impactful communications programs for clients with a particular commitment to both Anglophone and Francophone West Africa.
