Johannesburg | South Africa: Mitchell Prather, Managing Director of Djembe Communications, has been named the PR Professional of the Year, at the 2017 African Excellence Awards, an unrivalled benchmark for the continent’s communications industry.

Djembe Communications has grown significantly throughout the past year under Prather’s continued leadership. The agency saw significant revenue growth in 2016, added new clients to its roster, launched new offices in Mozambique and Morocco, while expanding regionally through strategic partnerships in Ghana, and experiencing an annual client retention rate of more than 90 percent.
