Djembe Communications’ Toyin Dania Named among WomanRising’s Top 60 Corporate Women Leaders in Ghana
Dania recognised for outstanding achievements in business and contribution to the development of a vibrant private sector
Accra | Ghana: Toyin Dania, Country Manager of Djembe Communications in Ghana, has been named among WomanRising’s list of top 60 Corporate Women in Ghana at the recently held 2017 Women CEOs Summit at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.
WomanRising is the flagship network of The African Network of Entrepreneurs (TANOE) and the list which features women heading various outstanding organisations in the country was compiled by TANOE Research. This was done with a vision to inspire and motivate more women to aspire and pursue corporate leadership roles aimed at bridging the gender gap in business. This year’s list follows TANOE’s previous publication on the WomanRising Top 50 Corporate Women Leaders in Ghana in 2016, which was acclaimed locally and globally.
Delighted about the recognition, Toyin Dania commented, “I am honoured to have been named among other exceptional leading women who are changing the face of business in Ghana. I dedicate this to all Djembe Drummers in Ghana and across our various markets. We work together as one team every day; going above and beyond to deliver game-changing results for our clients.”
Djembe Communications has grown significantly throughout the past year by adding new clients to its roster, launching new offices, expanding regionally through strategic partnerships, and experiencing an annual client retention rate of more than 90 percent. Earlier this year, Djembe Communications announced the significant strengthening of its offering in West Africa with the announcement of its acquisition of The One Event (TOE), a leading Ghanaian public relations and events management agency.
Speaking about the strategic partnership Dania noted, “Djembe Communications is open for your business in Accra. While we continue to provide the world-class PR and events services our existing clients are used to, we will also consult across the whole spectrum of communications encompassing consumer marketing, digital, reputation management, stakeholder engagement as well as branding and design.” In addition to a presence in Accra, Djembe is present in Angola, Mozambique, Morocco, Nigeria, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States through a wholly owned and integrated network of offices.
WomanRising’s top corporate women list is aimed at giving women business leaders in various sectors of Ghana’s economy the deserved public recognition for their outstanding achievements in business and contributions to the economy of Ghana.
