Three Awards for Djembe Communications at Lusos Awards

Djembe was the biggest winner at the Lusos award ceremony, taking home the Agency of the Year Award for PR in Angola, Bronze Award for ‘My Dream’ Project and The Lusophone Award

July 5, 2016 | Angola and Mozambique: Pioneering pan-African consultancy Djembe Communications came out top at Lusos Awards, picking up three trophies including Agency of the Year award for PR in Angola at the 2016 Lusos awards ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal. In addition it took the Bronze Award for its My Dream project and the coveted Agency of the Year Award for PR in all Portuguese speaking countries – The Lusophone Award.

Lusos Awards is an annual event celebrating the very best creative output from the communications industry in the Lusophone world.

Djembe Communications, with full-fledged offices in Angola and Mozambique, has grown rapidly over recent years and is now the foremost pan-African communications firm in the African continent. Djembe’s Luanda and Maputo offices spearhead the agency‘s Lusophone client engagements where they develop and execute client programs. Furthermore, Djembe’s Maputo’s office is its African Centre of Excellence which will act as a catalyst to educate Djembe’s international team and key clients entering the region on the opportunities that Africa has to offer.

The Lusos Awards is an international awards ceremony that celebrates the very best creative communications output in Portuguese speaking countries. Hosted in Lisbon, 2016 was the awards’ third year and it has rapidly become an important cornerstone, bringing communicators from the Portuguese speaking world together. Prather added, “The Lusos Awards is a highly prestigious communications event. I am delighted that our unique capabilities of international expertise, strong African roots and Lusophone capabilities have been recognised.”
