Daniel Sievwright

Hometown: Johannesburg, South Africa.

Education: I studied my bachelor degrees in Corporate Communication and Organisational Psychology at the University of Johannesburg, as well as a postgraduate in Business Administration at the University of the Witwatersrand.

Role at Djembe Communications: Junior Account Executive, Zürich.

Specialties: Entrepreneurship, Research, Writing, Digital Advisory.

Experience: I have gained exposure across a variety of organisational environments, such as: having interned at Accenture on a Digital Advisory project, having run my own Small Business Enterprise, and having worked as a Graphic Assistant at a Swiss Asset Management company.

I’m passionate about PR because: Communication has the power to significantly influence human behaviour in an emotive and objective manner, however, it also has the adverse propensity. Public Relations provides innovative avenues to positively impact human and environmental interaction, most notably through the empowerment of conscientious, ethical and sustainable action in the form of social responsibility initiatives.

Dream Job: An international liaison role between Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe.

Best Way to Unwind from PR: I play guitar and piano in my spare time, and love to kick a ball around whenever I get a chance.

Memorable PR Homerun: Not yet, but I have high hopes.

Favourite City for Business Travel: Zürich so far, as the city has many cultures and boasts one of the most majestic scenic spots on the planet.

Twitter or Facebook: Facebook.

Social Media of Choice: Facebook.

Window or Aisle: Aisle. I am a pragmatist in the air and an idealist on the ground.
